This residence rises across 6 floors, offering comfortable rooms for a romantic getaway or more spacious ones for families. Every detail has been carefully considered.

Its geographical location will allow you to easily access the Saint-Malo ramparts, the Sillon beach to admire the great tides, the casino, restaurants, and shops.

The building itself has a history dating back at least to the 14th century, giving it a unique charm and a strong connection to the history of Saint-Malo.

Over the years, it has undergone several transformations, including a height extension in 1922, before being converted into apartments in 1953, and later becoming the hotel we know today.

The hotel’s current name pays tribute to Saint-Malo’s maritime history and the significant role that shipowners played in the city's development.

As shipowners and traders for centuries, figures like Jacques Cartier, Duguay-Trouin, Surcouf, and Chateaubriand made Saint-Malo an essential port for international trade.

The carousels spin heads at fairs across France, but the magnetic attraction of the Corsair City is so strong that the first permanent waffle shop was established in 1983 at 11 Rue Porcon de la Barbinais, in the heart of the fortified city.

The following year, our father stepped through the doors of Le Lion d’Or, which would become a brasserie specializing in meat dishes.

In 2005, the Hector brothers crossed the square and took over Le Café de l’Ouest, where “the sea would take center stage.”

In 2010, La Licorne, a magnificent crêperie facing the castle, joined the collection.

Then, in 2015, The Bakery, located in front of Porte Saint-Vincent, was created, expanding the family’s expertise by crafting in-house pastries and viennoiseries to supply our three brasseries and our hotel.

Finally, in 2024, we decided to add our first hotel to our portfolio: La Maison des Armateurs.
